Overview and RatesPilanesberg Safari - 3 Day / 2 Night
Black Rhino is a private game lodge within the Pilanesberg National Park about one and a half hours from Johannesburg. The crater of a 1200 million -year extinct volcano provides the setting for this memorable experience. The crater is enclosed by three concentric ridges or rings of hills forming an amphitheatre – like environment. Entering the crater through these hills, prehistory and ancient times rise up out of the geology and landscape creating a sense of being transported back in time. Because of its positioning between the arid Kalahari and wetter Lowveld, the vegetation from both areas are located on this terrain. This unique transition carries a wide game variety of species and the sighting of elephant, black rhino, white rhino, lion and leopard amongst others is very common.
